How's everyone doing so far this year?
I got off to a great start... by playing a lot of Skyrim. I don't think I could ever go back to Oblivion after that; it's too complicated in its leveling-up system.

But, to the meat of this journal entry:

I just got off of Fall break and I've got a whole bunch of projects and other such stuff to do, but I'm tired. Therefore, I shall procrastinate by doing this meme that I kinda stole from

Farren: Dusklorn.
Joven: I'm a live-in servant at Farren's estate.
Butler: Permanently bound to the Burgadas estate, which currently belongs to Farren Tanner. Next question.
Kirjane: I'm a nomad... or would be if I had a tribe. Currently, I'm just staying in Dusklorn for convenience's sake.


Would you kill yourself to save the one you love?
Farren: As a last resort, probably. It depends.
Joven: Absolutely.
Butler: That assumes that I love someone. Next question.
Kirjane: I... don't know.


What are your powers or forms?
Farren: I have a really big poleaxe that I'm not afraid to use. Seriously.
Joven: As a mage, I have an affinity for air-based spells. I'm also pretty good at the healing aspects of water-based spells.
Butler: Anything and everything you can do with fire. And shapeshifting. Next question. What? You mean it's over? Thank goodness.
Kirjane: I know a form of unarmed combat, but the grafts given to me by the primals allow me to summon ethereal armor that doesn't limit movement in any way, shape, or form.

I finally got my printer working. (And by that, I mean that my dad fiddled with the software until he figured out what was wrong.) But the results are the same: I can scan stuff in now!

... Now all I need is stuff to scan in. School's been heavy since I last posted a journal, so I haven't had much time to just draw stuff... or write, for that matter. I know that the 3rd round of is due in two days, but I've only got about a page done. Hopefully I'll be able to finish on time, but I may have to submit a summary if worse comes to worst.

But I'm still alive and kicking, no matter what college tries to do to me.

End of line.

Edit: Okay, so I may have to forfeit TBOS due to school. It feels like I'm making an excuse, but I really don't want to submit anything that I didn't try my hardest on, and college is eating up whatever creativity and enthusiasm I had during the summer. I apologize for not sticking with it and wish the best of luck to those still in the tournament.

(I may submit a spectator entry just involving Rupert and Luka, and the idea I had for what's happening to the book if I do drop out.)

Okay... so I'm finally settled back into the college routine (minus the waking up at "are you serious" AM):

1.) Found an apartment after being told at the last minute that there were no university apartments available.
2.) Settled into said apartment after getting a futon.
3.) Met up with all my college buddies.
4.) Got my books.
5.) Got to my classes without incident.
6.) Survived the first two weeks of class.
7.) Finally got internet installed at my apartment.
8.) ... in progress...

Yes... there is one last thing. My printer decided that it doesn't want to talk with my computer anymore. And since my printer doubles as my scanner, I can't scan anything into my computer. So, for the time being, until I find somewhere I can scan stuff into the computer, I hope y'all can forgive me for posting only literature.

... I have your gift art finished. It just may take some time before it's up. I'm really sorry for the delay.


Okay, now that I've got that off my chest, the second round of is done, and I've submitted my entry. Now I've got two whole weeks to freak out about whether I got in or not (while also freaking out about finding six more invertebrates for my biology lab and writing a short story for creative writing class).

((I'm actually pretty calm, but I can't help but say that while I'm venting. Also, please forgive this venting journal entry.))
