This is Luka, my aspen tree spirit storyteller, who I will be submitting to :icontbos-oct:
Here is some additional information:

Age = young adult
Species = aspen tree spirit
Size = 6 feet (at the shoulder)

History = Luka grew up in the Rocky Mountains with her mother and father, both aspen tree spirits like herself. When her parents split – the tradition for when a tree spirit couple has successfully raised their offspring – she began roaming, trying to find something to collect. After a few decades, Luka settled on collecting stories – both fiction and nonfiction. She’s been at it for a little over a decade. About five months before being contacted by Mudd, she met Rupert. She had been discussing library readings with an old man at a coffee shop when he jumped off an awning and into her branches. After he escaped the people he’d stolen two scarves from, Luka went back and paid the textile seller for the scarves. Rupert then wrapped one around her neck. While she initially protested, Luka kept the scarf, as it is a symbol of an ongoing story – the one about her and Rupert.

Personality = Luka is very diplomatic and patient. She has good business sense: trading stories for both more stories and/or material goods that she needs. She is curious to an almost goblin extreme, which may be why she lets Rupert stay with her. She tolerates Rupert, but just barely. In her own words, “He’s an acquired taste… like unsweetened lemonade.”

Powers =
Can ram things with her antlers with approximate force of a buffalo
Human-level dexterity in her forepaws
Encyclopedic knowledge of myths and stories
One spell: Roar of the Oak (tree spirit spell; deepens natural, elk-like call to resonate, causing discomfort and sometimes pain in humans; effects differ depending on the objects affected)

Chosen by = Mudd
Gift = n/a

So the spell, Roar of the Oak; when it is used, is it like a vocal type of action (using the voice)? And how would the effects differ when used on objects rather than beings?

Yeah, when she uses it, Luka is using her own voice. When used on objects (or whenever it's used; it's an area-of-effect spell), everything within... a very large radius begins shaking. Objects react differently depending on what they're made of, but very solid objects - like hard-packed stone, metal, etc. - begin to crack, possibly shatter.

If you've seen glass shatter due to someone's singing, it's basically what happens at the other end of the octave.

Giant. Deer. ._.

Let us hope the hunters are not too eager in these worlds- she's too pretty a tree spirit to see on a wall. :ohnoes:

Hunters in this universe tend to stay away from tree spirits. They live very long, and Sleipnir - the oldest of all tree spirits - does not take kindly to hunters poaching other tree spirits.

(He's about as long as my college campus is wide, just for reference. :o )

Aye- I meant, though, when she enters other universes in TBOS. :P

Ah... yeah... that would be sad.
But then they'd need to confront an angry Rupert. That might be even scarier than a huge monster of a tree spirit. XD

Luka looks (and seems) very elegant. She and Rupert sound like they will make a very dynamic pair! I can't wait to read about them :aww:

Thank you. I plan for them to have interesting banter.
And I'm glad that Luka seems elegant; that was kind of what I was going for. Good to hear that I succeeded.

Interesting design, I like the scarf.
